This concert features the WORLD PREMIERE of Canti guerrieri ed amorosi (Songs of War and Love). Through a grant from Meet the Composer Foundation, the Canton Symphony Orchestra has commissioned American Composer Claude Baker to compose the celebratory work to commemorate the orchestra’s 75th Anniversary Season. The program also includes Beethoven’s Leonore Overture and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5 in d minor.
